The mission of the Liberty Township Police Department is to consistently seek and find ways to affirmatively promote, preserve and deliver a feeling of security, safety and quality service to members of the community of Liberty Township.

The Liberty Township Police Department is located at 1315 Churchill-Hubbard Road in the township Administration building.
The department has 19 well trained officers that meet and exceed all requirements set by state law and The Ohio Peace Officers Training Council.
There are 5 divisions within the department:

Patrol: Officers that patrol the township and respond to all calls for service. They are on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Detective Bureau: Officers that investigate all serious crimes that occur within the township.

K-9: New addition to the Department is Capo, his handler is Patrolman Ray Buhala they will be completing training in April 2009.

Communications: Communications are handled by the Trumbull County 911 Center.  Personnel that are on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They handle all emergencies and informational calls that come into the police department for Police, Fire and Road crews. They also handle all Radio traffic from the officers, as well as, for the departments.
